Scholarships – Investing in Our Future
A Tradition of Service Since 1917
The Hot Springs National Park Rotary Club was founded in 1917, dedicated from the start to Service Above Self. One of our proudest traditions is our commitment to education through our Scholarship Trust Fund, which provides annual scholarships to students in Garland County.
Celebrating Potential
Through our scholarship program, we celebrate not just academic achievement, but also legacy, community, and the power of potential. Rotary believes deeply in the impact of education, service, and leadership.
Our Scholarship Story
- 1950 – Members recognized the need to support local students pursuing higher education.
- 1971 – A formal scholarship program was created for all Garland County high schools, with awards based on academics, extracurricular engagement, and financial need.
- 1992 – The Endowment Scholarship Committee was formed, leading to the creation of the Joe F. Fish Scholarship Endowment Fund, honoring our treasurer of 25 years.
- Early 2000s – The Joe F. Fish Fund became the seed for the HSNP Rotary Club Scholarship Trust, building a sustainable legacy.
Since 1994 our club has awarded nearly half a million dollars in scholarships — a remarkable impact that speaks to the heart of Rotary.
Why It Matters
At Rotary, we believe that when you invest in young leaders, you invest in a stronger future for all of us. Our scholarships are more than financial aid — they are a bridge to opportunity and a reflection of our club’s values.
